The IDoing head unit is a plug and play solution that features a 9" display. It is a great way to add Apple CarPlay or Android Auto to the Subaru Outback. Apple Carplay and Android Auto are also now made wireless! This is the only unit on the market currently that will include everything necessary for the installation (it even includes necessary tools)! 

All OEM features are retained such as the steering wheel controls and backup camera. 

The head unit comes with the Google Play Store pre-downloaded so apps like YouTube, Clash of Clans, Amazon Prime Video are available to be played/watched on the head unit.

There are tons of audio settings to mess around with and the head unit is compatible with aftermarket subwoofers, speakers, amplifiers, etc. An IDoing head unit is recommended for all Subaru's with aftermarket audio upgrades because the OEM radio is not built to handle the improved performance. Simple Plug and Play - 2017 Outback Touring

Worked right out of the box with Harmon Kardons too. Just make sure wires are going to the correct place. Only annoying part was getting the plastic trim off initially, you have to pull a lot harder than they do on tutorial videos.

Make sure you install the external mic that comes with the unit. The built-in mic doesn’t cut it — especially here in the Midwest where people had a hard time understanding me until I swapped it out. After installing the external mic, call quality improved drastically.

Great Head Unit!

This head unit is fantastic, it took a little time to figure out where everything plugged in and all the bells and whistles that it comes with, but overall I am very satisfied with the head unit. The price was great, it has a huge screen, excellent response time and a quality iOS. The shipping was fast and the company is reputable, I would recommend this product to anyone looking to upgrade their stereo.

Great replacement head unit for a 2015 Subaru outback

Other than there being very little instruction included we figured it out and it works great. This saved us a lot of money over an OEM replacement and it’s a much better product. Adds features that the OEM did not have besides being much clearer and cleaner looking. Great product.
